What was the highlight of Grand Hotel De La Ville
Friendly staff and excellent food.
The hotel was well equipped and maintained. The staff were very helpful. One went out of his way to take us to the gym which was hard to find. They lent us umbrellas and have good recommendations for shopping. Best of all was the restaurant. It rained one night so we decided to eat in. The food was very high standard. For example there was one delicious starter of raw minced fassone beef with caper ice cream, Parmesan and mustard sauce. Inventive and delicious. I also had the vitello tonnato and it was one of the best I have ever had. The breakfast was of a similarly high standard. Freshly squeezed orange juice, cappuccino made on request and soft tasty scrambled eggs. I would happily return to this hotel and certainly the restaurant.
Quite a long walk from the town centre. But it did have a car park right next to it.

Hotel is well placed in walking distance 10mins to city center, comfortable underground parking and warm welcome by receptionist
Hotel did not met expecations of 5* rating, it’s simply not 5* I would say great 3*, breakfast was very simple no vegatable / green salad available, servis needs to be called to get coffee …
